PSAP Response Analysis

The Problem

Our police service customer needed to benchmark its Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) statistics against the availability of policing resources to improve response times and resource allocation.

The Solution

Dimensional Strategies Inc. (DSI) integrated data from two key systems: a resource management system that tracked the availability of uncommitted shift resources and a PSAP system that recorded inbound citizen requests and corresponding policing efforts. The analysis provided legislators with insights to make informed funding decisions and helped police operations staff shifts with the right personnel for effective response.
