Our client, a provider of mental health services for minors, needed to rethink their approach to monitoring and enhancing the treatment experience after transitioning to a new patient management system. To deliver better outcomes and meet regulatory requirements, they required detailed insights into the entire patient journey, from referrals to treatment.
The Solution
Dimensional Strategies Inc. (DSI) collaborated closely with the new patient management system vendor to reconstruct a comprehensive data twin of the patient journey. This journey begins when patients are referred by a non-medical child practitioner, initiating an onboarding process involving both the patient and their guardians. Once onboarded, a mental health clinician assumes responsibility for the patient, delivering treatment that includes a series of behavioral assessments and follow-up exercises to reinforce recommendations.
The data twin was developed at the most detailed level, capturing every step of the patient journey. This enabled analytics that focused on improving the patient experience, identifying challenges in treatment processes, and uncovering best practices from both personnel and operational perspectives. It also provided the necessary reporting to meet regulatory compliance requirements.
Additionally, the detailed foundational data supports ongoing and future analysis requests, ensuring the solution evolves alongside the client’s needs. By leveraging this approach, the client gained the ability to continuously refine treatment processes and improve outcomes.
